Service terms

These are the public terms of the 5Pager offer operated by Grant Finlay in Scotland. They explain the advertised product, but an application is not an order and does not create a contract. If the project is accepted, the written proposal and invoice will identify the parties and confirm the final contract terms before payment.
The fixed product
A standard 5Pager is a bespoke five-page service-business website made from one recorded interview. It includes positioning, website copy, responsive design and build, an enquiry form, basic source tracking, basic on-page SEO, social metadata, domain connection, one consolidated revision round and the first year of standard hosting.
Ecommerce, memberships, custom software, a full brand identity, photography, video production, ongoing SEO or advertising, unlimited pages and unlimited revisions are outside the fixed product unless separately agreed in writing.
Price and payment
The advertised price is £1,250: £625 to reserve the accepted build and £625 before launch. The applicable VAT position, payment method and due dates will be confirmed before the first payment. Work does not begin until the starting payment has cleared.
The five-working-day window
The delivery window starts on the next working day after the recorded interview is complete and 5Pager has all agreed assets, content facts, access and approvals needed to work. It pauses while material, access or consolidated feedback is outstanding. Weekends and Scottish public holidays are not working days.
Review and changes
The client supplies one consolidated set of reasonable revisions to the agreed five-page direction. A new positioning direction, extra pages, major new functionality or repeated revision rounds are a scope change and will be priced and approved before extra work begins.
Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for promptly providing accurate information, usable brand assets and images, access to the domain or existing systems, and confirmation that supplied materials can lawfully be used. The client remains responsible for regulated claims, professional statements and final factual approval of the website.
Launch, ownership and hosting
Launch follows final approval and cleared final payment. After final payment, the client owns the bespoke website copy and site files made for the project. Pre-existing methods, reusable components and know-how remain with their original owner; third-party software, fonts and assets remain subject to their licences. The client’s domain stays in the client’s own account.
The first year of standard hosting is included. Renewal terms are offered before that year ends. The client may instead request the site files and move them to another technically suitable host, subject to any third-party platform limitations disclosed in the proposal.
No performance guarantee
5Pager will provide the agreed deliverables with reasonable care and skill. Search rankings, advertising approval, visitor numbers, sales and enquiry volume depend on factors outside a website build and are not guaranteed.
Cancellation, liability and law
Cancellation, rescheduling, refunds, confidentiality, liability limits and any project-specific dependencies will be set out in the written terms supplied before payment. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The contract will be governed by Scots law and the written terms will state the agreed courts. Mandatory rights that apply to a customer are not affected.
